Personal Information Collection Statement

CLP is committed to protecting your privacy. Set out below is information that explains our practices about the way your personal data (“the Data”) is collected and used. 

Purpose of Collection

CLP may use the personal data you provide for your registration, arrangement of your participation, exhibition, presentation and/or sponsorship of the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and Western Pacific (AESIEAP) events in 2026 and 2027 and any directly related purposes. CLP may also use such personal data:

• to administer, manage and facilitate your registration, participation and other arrangements for the related events.
• to verify your identity before processing any request from you;
• to respond to and follow up on your enquiries;
• to maintain, update and/ or process records of related events.
• to provide you with a better personalised experience in respect of our website and your participation of the related events, .
• Arrangement of your payment process
• to arrange publicity promotion for the AESIEAP events
• to communicate with you; and
• for other CLP operations in connection with the related events and directly related purposes.
  

You are not required to provide the personal data requested. However, the personal data you provide will enable CLP to process your application/provide you with services. CLP may not be able to process your application/provide you with services unless you provide the personal data.

Transfer of Personal Data

To fulfill any of the purposes stated above, CLP may transfer your personal data to third parties, such as

• business partners and collaborators that assist in executing the activities related to AESEIAP events in 2026 and 2027;
• banks, credit card companies and payment platforms which are offering payment services to CLP for facilitating CLP’s services that you have received;
• agents, service providers, merchants in and/or outside Hong Kong (including but not limited to event organization service provider, mailing houses, telecommunication companies, call centres, registration platform service provider, social media and/or media and cloud service providers) engaged by CLP for any of the purposes stated above; and/ or
• related CLP companies, including subsidiaries and affiliated companies within the CLP Group in Hong Kong.
  

CLP will disclose data when required to do so by law and may also disclose such data in response to requests from law enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities.

Access and Correction of Personal Data

You have a right to request access to, the correction and erasure of, your personal data in accordance with, where applicable, the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), and any other data protection law as applicable.  Requests for access, correction and/or erasure of personal data, as well as withdrawal of consent, where applicable, should be by email and addressed to AESIEAP Secretary General at secretariat@aesieap.com
