AESIEAP and Alternergy formalize partnership for CEO Conference 2019 and CEPSI 2020

AESIEAP President and Meralco President and CEO Atty. Ray C. Espinosa and Alternergy Chairman Vince Perez formalize their partnership in the upcoming Association of Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and the Western Pacific (AESIEAP) CEO Conference 2019 and Conference of Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) 2020 with a handshake.

With them, from left to right, are: National Power Corporation (NPC) Vice President for Administration and Finance Lorna Dy, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Chief Finance Officer Nanette Nancy Bugnosen, AESIEAP Secretary General and MGen President and CEO Rogelio L. Singson, Alternergy President Gerry Magbanua, and National Transmission Corporation (TRANSCO) President Atty. Melvin Matibag. The largest organization of power and energy industry players with over 100 members from 25 countries, AESIEAP meets biennially and fosters cooperation by expertise and technology exchange and provides a venue to deliberate the challenges and solutions for the development of the power industry.

This year’s discussions will be on total electrification, particularly in underserved and unserved areas to help bolster sustainable and inclusive economic development. To date, various organizations, companies, and stakeholders in the power industry both here and abroad are partnering with AESIEAP for the conferences. A Philippine pioneer in renewable energy, Alternergy has a well-documented track record of developing, building, and operating groundbreaking renewable power projects in the country, as it strives to create a more sustainable future for the next generation.

CEPSI 2020: THE ENERGY CONFERENCE OF ASIA PACIFIC
POSTPONED TO 2021

In the light of developments on COVID-19,
the AESIEAP Executive Committee and Council has decided to postpone CEPSI 2020,
initially scheduled on November 30 to December 4, 2020 at Marriott Hotel Manila, to a date still to be determined in 2021.
The Conference will still be held in the Philippines. We will continue to monitor developments on COVID-19 and post updates on CEPSI 2021
