Ir. James Ung is the Group Chief Operating Officer of Sarawak Energy. A Mechanical Engineer by profession, he has been part of the company since 1990, gaining extensive experience in technical and leadership roles in power generation, power grid system operation and project management. In his current position, he shapes the vision and strategy for operating units, driving human talent and development while also spearheading transformative initiatives and upholding operational excellence. He is a Fellow of the International Hydropower Association (IHA) and a registered Professional Engineer (PE) by the Board of Engineer Malaysia.
