Dr. Nien-Mien Chung received his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering and B.S. in Power Mechanical Engineering from National Tsinghua University, Taiwan. He currently serves as the General Manager of the Taiwan Power Research Institute (TPRI), Taiwan Power Company. Dr. Chung has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, encompassing both academic research and industrial applications. From 2011 to 2017, he was the Director of the Energy Research Laboratory at TPRI, where he led research in energy technology development and deployment. He was appointed Deputy General Manager in 2017 and assumed his current role in 2025 His research interests include energy transition technologies, energy system integration, and low-carbon energy solutions.
