Mr. Pan, born in 1967, was appointed to the current position in November 2021, when he started to supervise Ultra-high Voltage(UHV) transmission Projects and construction of large power infrastructure. Since then, a few landmark UHV projects have been put into operation which greatly contribute to China’s clean energy transition. Since March, 2025, he has been in charge of international business of the corporation which covers 45 countries and regions worldwide.
Mr. Pan used to serve several high-profile positions in State Grid including President of Beijing Power Company, which ensures reliable power supply to China’s capital city and large public events.
