Siti Safinah binti Salleh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Multimedia University Malaysia. She later earned a Master of Business from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, followed by a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University, United States.
She began her career in the telecommunications and digital economy sectors, having served at Telekom Malaysia Group and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). She later joined Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, where she held various leadership roles in the Governance, Risk and Compliance Division as well as in strategic planning and portfolio management. Her portfolio included the implementation of sustainable investing practices and engagement with global institutional investors, regulators, and sovereign funds. She was also a board member of VCAP Asset Managers.
In February 2021, she was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of MyPOWER Corporation, a special-purpose agency under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (now PETRA). At MyPOWER, she led the coordination and implementation of power supply industry reform initiatives in Malaysia.
She was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) effective 19 February 2025.
